It has been extremely cold this last week and I just got the gas bill (we have Natural Gas to heat the house) and about had a heart attack at the amount. We have a plain thermostat right now thay operates at 1 temperature until you manually change it. Has anybody found a smart thermostat that is any good? Nobody is usually home day hours so there is no reason to keep the heat up until evening for an empty house. I tried a plain programmable thermostat from the hardware store and for some reason it refuses to work properly.
Interested in the smart thermostat since we can adjust it remotely when we are working late in the field.
