  • Label Printing Woes

Looking for any ideas as I am at my wits end.
We have a label printer that will print one label every time and an almost identical label once and then not again. They are both 4x6 labels, one is for a subcontract shipment and the other is for a customer shipment. Bartender identifies both labels and processes them. The one that does not print all the time, you can see gets deleted out of the queue automatically.
Is there any way to capture a log of why they keep on getting deleted?

Yes, that part was all working. So, for S&Gs I went to Seagull and downloaded the latest driver (even though I swear I already had it). Guess what, I got an updated driver, installed it, and now it is working fine. I hate technology

I see it's been a while since you've posted, but I just want to ask if anyone's had success using REST to dynamically insert label data into Bartender formats. I’ve been looking into using BarTender’s Integration Builder hooked up with Epicor’s REST calls instead of sticking with SSRS, but I’m curious how people handle error logging and retries if the print fails mid-process.

We had similar print issues until we realized the label stock made a huge difference. Once we switched to metallic paper, the printers needed different heat settings to avoid smudging. Worth checking how your printer handles that material and adjusting accordingly—made a big difference for us. And yeah, making sure the DPI matches the driver settings fixed a blurry text problem we didn’t think was related at first.
