  • When ppl build more muscle- does their wheight increase?

and if it does- is it really noticable? now this is gonna sound a little stupid and i don't think anybody can answer that but still- how much does a six-pack "weigh"? about how much weigh do you gain if you go from having weak abs to a visible six-pack? lol- i know that sounds dumb ...
and also- what's the correct wheight for a 14 year old girl whose height is 1.72 meters? (=5'8" feet)
    responses are appreciated

I can answer the "muscle/weight" question. In general, when you build muscle, you will gain weight. Muscle weighs more than fat. But you will look and be leaner, therefore appear to weigh less.

5'8" at 14? WOW! I have no idea what the correct weight is.

well i work for an insurance company. To have the best rating. Preferred the weight for a female who is 5'8 and 14 and under is between 99 and 203 lbs.

so what that means is if you are under 99 then it is not considered healthy. And if it is over 203 it is considered unhealthy.

These are based on life expectancy. Do if you are outside that range then they believe there is a better chance of you dying prematurely.

If you reduce fat and build muscle, it's not necessarily noticable. You can have flabby 10 inch arms, or muscled 10 inch arms, but they're the same size. I know guys who are alot bigger than me but not near as strong. I wouldn't worry about it.

Here's the rule of thumb: Once you are BIGGER than you want, stop for a month. But until you actually attain the size you're worried about.. don't worry about it.

That'd be like wanting to walk 10 miles, but being afraid that you'll accidently walk 100 miles, so instead you get down and crawl 1 inch at a time. It's unnecessary, counterproductive, and silly.

Once you look in the mirror and say "WOW I am too big!" THEN you can stop. Until then, just do your best.

Also, the weight of a 6pack will be small, 3 or 4 pounds maybe. Most weight gain comes from an overall body increase in mass. I'd say the average "bicep" of a regular dude weights about 5 lbs maybe?

Muscle is about 5x heavier than fat.

How much do you weigh now? I may be able to answer your question then but my educated guess would be roughly around 140lbs give or take. 99 lbs seems a little unhealthy for any girl over 5'5" Muscle does weigh more than fat. I am pretty lean but I weigh more than a lot of fat people I know who look bigger than me so you cannot go by sight alone.

I dont even see 3 or 4 pounds from a six pack. It wont be much. Weight that you put on as a result of lifting will varry depending on how you train. If your training for mass and power (low reps, high weight), you will put on more weight. If you stick to lower weight and higher reps, you wont put on as much weight. When I first start lifting, I notice a drop in weight by a few pounds. I assume this is a result of the fat I am burning. Then, the weight starts to gradually come back and then I get heavier then I was before. I lift mostly for mass and strength, because I am a skinny little guy (6 foot 2 and about 156 pounds at the moment).

                Six pack. .

The six pack is due to a low level of body fat for the most part. So to say how much the six pack "weighs" is irrelevant.

                      That sounds reasonable.

Why do you assume that there is a "correct" weight?

I assume that your build is quite lean haha. 120 lbs is a good weight if you are physically active as I assume your are. Just don't go on thinking you can be a little bit lighter because I don't think that would be wise little missy. Actually from what I can tell you have plenty of room to add to your weight without any health concerns coming up so don't be afraid to get an extra scoop of ice cream.
I scream you scream we all scream FOR ICE CREAM!!!!!
