I am so freakin slow. I need to get faster at running but I don't know how. I've tried just running alot but that just builds stamina. I also need to get a higher vertical jump but nothing seems to be working for that either. Please shine some light on me.

For jumps...try jumping from a squat wearing leg weights onto the top of a milk crate and then landing on the crate in a squat...then progress untill you can do thid on three milk crates my first wing chun instructor showed me this and it works a treat..
also train your reflexes when its time to move react as fast as you can that means your moving quicker than others ...eg when at traffic lights dont burn off but insure you car is the first moving when the lights change
then combine that with the strenght generated by the explosive weight training and blow the competition away
pd generating more speed generaly means there is more force actioning in the movement its up to you to direct this energy

If you want to be able to run long distances what do you do. You practice long distances. If you want to be able to shoot a good free throw what do you do you practice shooting free throws. It is the same with jumping if you want to jump high practice jumping as high as you can. If you want to run fast then don't run long distances practice running as fast as you can.

play soccer. that'll give you break neck speed as you are constantly changing directions while totally exhausted. Basketball is good for that as well. HIIT training is your best bet dude. So far I have not found much better than that. Here is a good jump exercise.
stand up straight, feet shoulder width apart. now squat like your sitting in a chair. just as your thighs become parrallel to the floor stop and hold for 4 seconds and then explode jumping straight up as high as you can then repeat. that is fun. also do some split jumps is what I think they are called. get into lunge position and jump switching your front leg for the back and do that a few times. your legs will feel like crap after that lol. enjoy.
