    shoulder

how did you tear them?....i have known 2 people that have had torn rotator cuff's, both are doing fine. but post op you have to completely listen to your dr. and do the physical thearapy which they surely will prescribe. theres no reason why you can't come back from this but you have to listen to your dr. and layoff as long as he says to.

sup, i tore the left one while i was a pitcher. the right one i believe from weightlifting although i have not had an mri yet on the right one so it might only be strained not torn. yeah i've been hearing the recovery looks good especially if you are young, and im only 19. the only sucky thing is im going into the police force after school and i hope it doesnt effect me at the academy or something. ill make sure to do rehab so i can strengthen it up. my punching power is about the same though its more of a nuisance than a major pain thing

How do you know you tore the rotator cuff?

I just ask becuase I have what feels like a pretty minor injury to my left shoulder (holding pads incorrectly, I think, the left one too far out) and although it hurt at first, the only thing that happens know is that that shoulder pops a lot more in the morning then it used to.

          thx.

            shoulder tear

if your rotator cuff is torn you would lose range of motion as well as severe pain if you can touch your hand to the back of your neck then your cuff is probably not torn only an mri is 100% though

yeah billy is right although if you have a partial tear which is more common in people under 40 then your pain may not be too severe even when u touch back etc.. shoulder popping occurs sometimes, it occurs in me with some exercises.
