  • Bruce lee ab workout descriptions

Well first things first hello i am new here. Now to the point i have been working on my abs for ages and i am a 1st dan blackbelt in karate. But i keep seeing this Bruce Lee early ab workout:

Waist twists - four sets of 90 repetitions.
Sit-up twists - four sets of 20 repetitions.
Leg raises - four sets of 20 repetitions.
Leaning twists - four sets of 50 repetitions.
Frog kicks - four sets of 50 repetitions.

and was interested in trying it, yeh i know i will never look like bruce lee and i am not trying to i want to do this out of interest. But the problem is i don't know how to do these exercises and can't find decriptions, i'm not stupid and some seem self explaintory but i want to confirm what i am thinking, so any descriptions of theses exercises would be a big help

    i found at least this:

    Waist Twists:
    • Sit fully upright on a chair with feet flat on the floor slightly apart.
    • Place your fingertips so they are touching the top of the shoulders, so the arms are bent at the elbows.
    • Slowly twist the elbows, arms and shoulders as if you are turning to look over your shoulder. Don't turn your head, let it follow round with the upper part of your body.
    • Throughout the turn keep your abdominal muscles tensed.
    • Once you have reached as far round as is comfortable, slowly rotate back round to the opposite side, then return to the starting position.
    • Repeat the exercise for a further 5-6 repetitions.

If you have more can you give them to me?
And I dont know if you have this site:

Its a great website with the theories of Bruce Lee and his training
and some methods of improving your striking speed and movement reaction etc.
        Just take a look.

Hi, I can add some info on B.Lee's abs workout: he performed sit-ups curling his upper body like if you curled a paper sheet(his own words) until your chest is pressed on your knees. He said that one should work "fast but concentrate" (of course not too fast!) and have a very short rest between sets. When you can't do anymore repetitions, you should perform a quick series of "burns". And of course you should do cardiovascular training (especially running) and keep fats and starches at a low level in your diet. But you can find many more informations in the book "The art of expressing the human body", by John Little.
