hey,i do alot of martial arts and when im not trainin i dont no wot kinda work out to go for....i do stretches but not sure wot else to do eg how many sit ups/push ups etc,any ideas or plans would be appreciated,ben

It is best to make sure that you work your whole body. I mainly do bodyweight exercises. Here is a brief outline of what I do, maybe you might like to do something similar:
Monday: Lower body - different types of squats, leg stretches
Tuesday: Middle body - different types of situps and other abdomen and back exercises, stretch that area
Wednesday: Upper body - Different types of pushups, weights etc. Arm stretches
Thursday: Same as Monday
Friday: Same as Tuesday
Saturday: Same as Wednesday
Sunday: Rest
This is good because you are not working the same parts of your body each day, so it gives them a chance to recover. Hope this helps.

No, the lift weights guy was right, thats all you need to do, lift weights, you dont need some fancy workout plan, just lift weights and stop wondering about maximizing your work out effiency or some bull shit youll read in a magazine or something like that, if u do want to think about making it better, think about it while your lifting the weights, or resting, not while you should be working out.
