  • Workouts Benefits

Hi, i'm new to this site, and any martial arts for that fact. But not new to martial arts concepts. I reguard physical aspect of martial arts highly, i don't know about everyone else, sensing a vibe that is similar to mine though. I have a work out routine that i tend' to stick to but don't concrete myself in it. The normal work out of mine is...

Each day- Tends to be 6 days then rest

    Run 4 miles in morning

15x100 sit ups inlcuding 6x50 press ups

2hrs without break of- Speedball 10 mins roughly, punching heavy punchbag

20 mins, 60 mins kicking heavy punchbag, leg raises 10 mins, rest is the hands of Lohan, which i have not been taught by a master, so i don't claim to be able to do them, but i do them with medium effectiveness.

20 mins on stationed excercise bike.

I'm 15 so i don't want to do weight training. But am interesting in being able to get my fitness/conditiong to a point where i can have the strength of putting my hands through bricks. Ive conditioned my legs so i can put them through wooden beams, but any tips or advice on maxamising my fitness and mainly my conditioning would be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

I'd keep on training like you are but stop hitting bricks and wooden beams. Get into a kickboxing gym with a coach and start sparring.

Hey there. Find a good gym and train in a martial art. May I suggest boxing or muay thai? You are just 15, if you start now and train seriously you can get really good. You will also notice that you won't have all that time for your body training. Keep up running and doing abs, and remember that 10 abs reps done slowly and well are better that 100 done hastily and wrong.

Also, don't waste your time in trying to break bricks. That's just for a show. You can condition your knuckles and your tibias, but you should be careful and do that under a good instructor. It's easy to get hurt.
