  • Crazy super strength

Hey here are just some crazy super strength moves are I have read of people doing:

Eugene Sandow would do standing back tucks holding dumbells (each weighing about 56 pounds each).

Valentin Dikul, a 60+ year-old Russian strongman, juggles 180 pound kettlebells (yes, 180 pounds!!) and squats a 1000 pounds.

Eugene Sandow could do one-finger pullups

In Mas Oyama's karate book, he shows karateka doing one finger-thumb handstand pushups (both arms, but each arm only supported by the index finger and thumb).

Bruce Lee, at 130-some pounds, could send a 200+ pound heavybag slapping against the ceiling with a side-kick.

Less on genetics, more on training - Lee wasn't huge, but was extremely powerfull.

Let's not forget some of the greats :

      ARTHUR SAXON:
Could do a 386lb bent press, set the record with 448lbs in the two hand anyhow, and could one arm swing 210lbs at the height of 5'10" and 204lbs.
Possibly one of the strongest guys in history.

      JULIUS COCHARD:
Once lugged a 220lb sack over 112 miles in a race.

      GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT:
      Could one arm press 286lbs.

      ANTON ENDRES:
Did 220lbs for 241 reps in the unassisted leg press (you lay on your back, balance a barbell on your feet and do leg presses. Don't try that at home!)

      LOUIS CYR:
Could one-finger lift 551lbs, back lift 4000+ lbs, and 1,897lbs in the two-hand dead weight lift (which is different from the deadlift).

Here's a little history and a pic of him, he wasn't really that big either.

I believe that a person is capable of doing such things. Cyr reads like a science fiction character. No doubt about it, Cyr was one strong SOB. The feat below I find astounding. You cant mess with a guy like this.

One of Cyr's most-talked about stunts occurred on 1891-12-10, in Montreal. On that occasion he restrained four horses—two pulling in each direction.
But he wasn't a little guy. 5'10" 300lbs with a 60" chest and calf measurements of 28". Dude was built like a bowling ball.

yeah, I never heard of him before either. Wanna hear the scary part? He got his genetics from his mother...

Whilst Louis' father was of average proportions, his mother was almost Amazonian, recorded as weighing 265 lbs. at 6' 1". She in turn had a father of 6' 4" and 260 lbs., thus there were the genetics already established ensuring that the young Louis would develop into a pre-ordained Hercules.

Much smaller than most steroid freaks nowadays however. He built much of that up with just the basic exercises and no supplements, whey shakes, or the like. The back lift he did was probably the most impressive, over 4000lbs, though I think he did do it with someone else. Still, that's pretty damn incredible.

W.A. Pullum is a good hero for the smaller guys. Only 5'5" tall and about 125 pounds but a professional strongman and physical trainer. His best lift was 272lbs in the two hands anyhow: http://weightlifting.moonfruit.com/twohandsanyhow

                      ...

Actually he is much bigger than the biggest freak Ronnie Coleman at about the same height. His calves are bigger and his chest is 2-3 inches bigger but of course he was fat so lean mass wise he is probably dwarfed. The 18 men on a platform is crazy.

What about that Irish dude that died shortly after he lifted a ship's anchor. I thought he was in the book of world records or something? Who the heck was that? This was way back when, also. I wonder where the naturally freaky strong people are nowadays because I haven't seen or heard of any?

                          Super Strong

I came across a site where some guy set the new world record on bench press: 1,000 lbs.

I'm sure there are tons of great athlete-potentials out there, just most people are incredibly lazy. I knew one kid who had the most incredible coordination I had ever seen. He just was such a natural. He could have been probably an Olmypic caliber athlete if he trained for it. But he was also about as disciplined as a 3 year-old too.

I also knew one small, 5'4 guy who could outjump every one in the school. His jumpingt ability was just truly amazing. You'd see him jump and just be like, "JEEZ, does that little guy get high." But again, he had (or has) about as much discipline as a 3 year-old too.

But there are lots of strong people out there today. I think I also have heard that the Chinese monks restrain bulls from moving (one bull tied to each arm).

And I dunno if it is true or not but I watched on Ripley's Believe It Or Not show, some guy they had who was supposedly super strong, he had a motorcycle tied to each arm, and each guy on the motorcycle gunned the engine, and tried to pull, but he restrained both motorcycles. He said it is just all mental. I am guessing he is just a strong guy with some real mental strength in him that allows him to focus purely on the task at hand.

holy shite dunno about that motorcycle thing. That would be plenty of horsepower on each arm. I dont know if i can believe that. However it might depend on the bikes. If they were some tiny like 80cc dirtbikes then MAYBE but still...
