  • Am I missing something?

I workout every day, here are some of the things that I do.

Weightlifting and Isometrics- every other day, bench press, machine bench press, calf raises, various exercises with dumbells. Pushups, situps, squats, and jumping squats.

Heavy bag - every other day, 10-15 minutes usually.

Stretching - Usually twice a week

Form work - hundreds of repetitions of certain short forms and punches.

Sparring - Once in a while.

    Qigong - twice a week.

I'd say I dedicate about 1.5 hours a day (sometimes more) to training. But I feel like I'm missing something. Thoughts?

Uh, an hour and a half a day? I think you need to train a little more.

If I were you, I'd stretch more often than twice a week for starters, and as for your weightlifting routine what do you all do? If we knew your whole program we could break it down better for you.

You are missing back excercises. Stretch more.

Did you actually post a response to yourself?

No, the reason you said "get a girlfriend" is because you're jealous of me. If you're impressed by 1.5 hours you have problems.

...save the sparring for the arena, guys.

What do you feel like you're missing? It sounds more like you feel self-conscious than lacking in physical activity. If it really is more training you crave, try running on the treadmill. Remember to take breaks. Drink fluids. Eat in moderation.

How come like 50% of the people who come in here asking a question, who get insulted, start with the "you're jealous" of me type of stuff???

Anyways, if you ever wanted to be like professional martial artist caliber, you could train 5 hours a day

When you say missing something: What do you mean? For what purpose?

10-15 minutes everyother day on a heavybag is not very much. 1.5hrs a day is not much either. If you're looking for a better workout, just make it harder and for a longer time. For beginners, you should know precisely how much time you are spending on training. Your training time should be consistent and constantly pushing yourself. Your statement just made it seem like you dont push yourself that much, or really know how much time you are actually training.

What's even funnier is he said it to me and not to the guy who actually told him that
