    Well, I've been doing the Armstrong Pullup program (google it) for the past month, and it does work. I've been improving by about one pullup each week.

    And no, you do not need to drop and do 3 maximum effort sets of pushups every morning for it to work, either.

    I also experienced exactly what the program says will happen. It says during the first 2-3 weeks, your max amount of pullups will drop down by a couple of reps, but then when your body adjusts, you'll build back up to that max you originally had and then just keep on building.

    So if you start the program and folow it religiously, if your max pullup number drops by a few reps, that is supposed to happen during the first few weeks.
