  • Add 2" to chest in just one day

    Muscle and Fitness magazine's November 2004 issue had an article of how to add 2" to your chest in just one day. The program is 5hrs long, and 60 sets. I wanted to post this article on here for all you guys that havent read the article.

    -All Exercises are done with dumbells.
    -First hour is 60%-70% of one-rep max for lifts.
    -Weight slowly increases over the next two hours.
    -Final 2 hours are with spotter-assisted forced reps (more weight than you can handle)
    -Wrist straps should be used from the very beginning since grip strength starts to play a large part later on.
    -although arms will shrink back to regular size after 2 weeks, gains in chest and back will stick over a long period of time.
    -exercise should not be done more than once every 3 months.
    -Every hour during the routine, you should fill up with high protein foods, and drink plenty of water for hydration.

    The exercise cycle is printed below;

      Sounds like you're just overworking the muscle so much it's going to fill up with a lot of blood. It'll probably go down in a few days or so though. Might be a good test of endurance or good to mix things up though.

        According to the article, the increase in chest muscles will last a long time; many months at least.
        Your arms will become normal size after about a week. It really tears at your muscles, and they gain size from the repairing process. This is why he recommends that this only be done once every 3 months at most, and why it's so important to eat high protein foods throughout the workout. They did follow up to see how long the results lasted, and everyone that did this routine gained size and kept it. I wouldnt have posted it otherwise. Still, I haven't done this yet, myself, so I cant be positive till later.

          I think I saw an article in Muscle and Fitness magazine to make your arms an inch or two bigger in one day. I don't remember how long they stay that way, but logic directs me to think that one's arm muscles wouldn't stay that much bigger for a long period of time.

            You know, magazines like this wouldn't be around very long if they actually gave good advice and good workouts, now would they? Three or four issues and they'd run out of stuff to talk about.

            Stick to the basics. Eat well, take your vitamins, get lots of rest and drink alot of water. No pain no gain. Yeah, over time people will develop newer routines that might be more efficient or better for particular (very specific) groups of people. But just like martial arts, the basics are always going to be there. Exercises people have been doing since the Greek and Roman times are still around for a reason: they work.

            So you put 2" on your chest in one day? At what cost. You can't ever get something for nothing. Maybe you can make a million dollars in a month, too, but not without significant risk.
