Two questions on taking vitamins. One, can they be taken with food? Second one, are they less effective, say, broken up and then taken? I'm sort of on the line when it comes to how I feel about taking pills. I had an inccident where I almost choked are one and its kind of thrown me for a mental loop, to the point I stopped taking them regularly. I'd like to get back into it, just wondering if theres anyway to make it easier.

I take an everday multivitamin for regular people. Can take 2-4 times per day depending on your needs. It says "For maximum calcium absorbtion take 2 to 3 times daily immediately after meals." Take with a glass of milk, orange juice, or just water (to avoid choking). It's kinda funny someone is scared to take vitamins, especially an MA guy.
Vitamins are something to become educated on for maximum benefits. I really don't know a thing, but am always on hte lookout for books and such. Talk to a personal trainer, they might be able to steer you in the right direction (since you might weightlift, be superactive, etc, not just a regular joe that needs less vitamins). Of course, a multivitmin at 3 times daily after meals might be all you need? Gotta educated yourself and then make those decisions.

research on vitamins and supplements is always a plus.
be sure to ask a doctor or get some kind of medical advice also.
you want to be careful when you start mixing and matching supplements because some combinations dont work out too well.
vitamins can be toxic at high levels, so beware of that also.
