    Even prepubescents can lift weights, although it is recommended that one starts lifting when they hit puberty.

      When your bones are fully grow is recommended.

          Is you want to become serious about it, 14 is the earliest you should go. And no, it will not stunt your growth, that is just a myth.

              I am 13 will be 14 in Feb.

              Im just wondering if it would be okay for me to start lifting?

              (I dont wanna lift heavy I wanna lift, High Reps, Low Weight)

                Have a doctor look at the epyphial cells. (not sure of the spelling.) The stop dividing once the growth stops. Than weight lifting will not stun growth for sure.

                  generally light body weight until 16 or so, then body weight.


                  If you can not handle bodyweight you have not business lifting weights.

                      about 13, but only use weights for toning, don't lift for mass. I lifted for mass, and its going to be a long hard journey getting to a mesomorphic bodytype. Around 25 your body retains its shape, so thats when you should really start lifting for mass, if you plan to.

                          I started bodyweights at 14, and then a decent program at 16, which actually included bench, squat, and deadlift.
