their workouts seem to be alot of circuit training and cross fit type of stuff and lots of cardio. they only worry about functional strength exercises, like pullups, bench press, squats and so on. i noticed on the show ultimate fighter their lifts tend to be around 15 reps, more for endurance.

most of the reason I think them doing 15 rep workouts is less than ideal for what they do:

train 6 hours a day.....run on the treadmill at 5-10 mph for 5 mins each mile.....grapple for a half hour..strike for a half hour....grapple...strike....grapple...strike....weights 15 reps of every exercise you can think of.....go on the bikes for a half hour......repeat this whole sequence for 3 hours.....go rest and then do it again for 3 more hours. source:the ultimate fighter tv show
