  • Aerobic and Anaerobic Excercise

    Hi,

What is the difference between aerobic and anaerobic excercise? What are some examples of excercises from each category?

Thank You and Have a Nice Day

Basically, aerobic means "requiring air" and anaerobic means "without air". An example of aerobic exercise would be an steady paced long run. An example of anaerobic exercise would be wind sprints.

You should train both to be well balanced, however, (in my opinion) if you're NOT going to get into the ring, you should place an emphasis on anaerobic conditioning as it better trains the body for short strong bursts of energy with quick recovery.

    Train well...
