    None. I am a dietary vegan and put on 20 lbs of lean muscle in less than my first 6 months of training. Anyone who says a person cannot build muscle mass without consuming animal protien is misinformed.

        As I said before I am a dietary vegan for health reasons not ethical reasons. I want to make it clear that I am not trying to "convert" anyone to vegetarianism/veganism. Those people annoy the hell out of me too. Just like those people trying to promote the Zone Diet online. LOL
        There are plenty of nutrients in meat. However, a person can get plenty of protien and iron from non-animal sources. I don't see the need to consume "bad" fat and cholesterol. I am tired of the misinformation about vegetarian and vegan diets in the athletic culture. Even I can admit that meats are tasty. I used to love chicken, skinless of course. I remember when Buffalo Chicken Pizza first came out, it was Da Bomb. LOL I was never big on red meat. Women shouldn't be. I was watching the news on t.v. the other night and consuming a certain amount of servings of red meat can increase a womens chances of developing breast cancer.

          You don't have to eat meat to gain muscle or be healthy. But it is a great source of protein, iron, lots of things you need in your body. But their are many other ways to get that into your body.

            beef its whats for dinner

            this ones easy. protien protien protien. building block for muscle. supplies amino acids that the body uses, also helps make u feel full longer.

                    Lol. Same here man, I still eat bread. I just don't go crazy with it. Bread is one of the staples of life.

                      It's nuts what you have to give up to actually eat healthy, (btw you can still eat nuts) most of the stuff we are given as food isn't really good to eat or not at least in the quantity we get it.

                      Processed foods are the worst.

                          Meat is good. Fish is a great source of protein too, and chicken. But lean meat rocks.

                            Hi meat is really necessary in our food because gaing some mass . And also meat have Zinc that is really required for mens and womens health . so we can't elemminate this meat from or foods .
