  • punching bags

Hey, i'm looking to buy a punching bag and was wondering if its worth filling it yourself or just buying one pre-filled. Also how do you correctly fill a punching bag?

    Thanks

    junk,
whats up. Definitely buy a pre filled bag. I bought an small unfilled bag once and it wasn't worth the savings. We filled it with rags and sand. we F****d up and filled it all lopsided and it hung lopsided. Pre filled bags are the way to go(unless you know someone that has done it before sucessfullymaybe I am just a dope who cant even fill a heavy bag properly) But be warned a lot of bags , especially Everlast are OVERstuffed so youre gonna have to unzip it and take some filling out, otherwise some parts (if not all of the bag ) will feel like stone. I personally like the Wave bags (Century ma supply?) that you fill with air and water, they give a better sensation of what it is like to hit a body which is a lot softer than a H bag. Free standing bags: I think the Wavemaster is crap.its good for throwing light snappy punches , I used mine almost the way you would use a double endbag. if you put any torque into the punch you will knock the Wavemaster over. Or take the $$ buy the bag and join a boxing gym fer 2 months.. Hope this helps

Deffinatly buy a pre stuffed bag. They are much easier than to stuff your own. But if you have to just make sure to keep checking that its straight.

When buying a boxing bag and your after a heavy bag buy the biggest hardest one there.

In Australia you can get the perfect one for $129.00 AUS at REBEL SPORTS
