  • The calves...

I was a thin girl when I started training... I still am thin but I've toned up dramatically. Yet the calves are going reeeaaally slow.
What kind of excersises could I do to tone up and add some muscles to my calves?

    calf raises
but you need to do fairly high reps for the calves like sets of 3X25 or so.
you can add weight, like wear a heavy rucksack or so.
but really if you are a girl do you want large calves....honestly??

not LARGE calves, just some shape to them. I mean, they're shaped like calves I guess, but they're too thin.
      thanks though

stand on the edge of a stair and raise yourself up, squeeze and hold for a beat then repeat for 15 reps, can think of alot more if you'd wish but this should get ya started

The calves are made up of 2 muscles, Gastrocnemius and Soleus, one is worked by doing calf raises with the legs straight and the other is worked when the legs are bent, like sitting.
Normally high reps (15-20) are used to tone a muscle, but the calves are really hard to develop even for people who weight train for years, so you would be safe mixing high and low reps workout to workout.
Also doing calf raises with just your bodyweight as many times as you can without stopping ever once in a while is good too.
