      ahem, excuse me. This coming from someone who has all three full splits. jog a bit before streching yes. All you need to do is relax, DONT BOUNCE, and make pain your friend. A surgon, while your unconcious on the table, can take your big toe and stick it in your ear. WHY? because when your relaxed your body can strech. The muscles pulling back on the tendons are what cause them to pull or tear. It's the resistance. RELAX, ignore the pain, and just strech. EVERYDAY.
