  • Pain from running

Whenever I run for a long distance I start getting what I think is a cramp on the right side of my belly button. What is this? And how can I, If I can, stop it. I would like to do longer runs more often but this gets so painful I have to stop.

Don't eat before your run - if you can help it.

The question is: do the runs proceed the grilled cheese? lol

Some folks have to eat and run - if you don't have to, then don't.

I do - literally. I've gotten the kind of feeling you are describing, but only because I've eaten a regular meal and then do a 3/4 mile near sprint ruck run to another location.

If you work a little on breath control during the run, the pain will slowly go away. That's all I've got.

          Anyone else?
