  • Ok.. i know you guys are the best here.. so i have a question on Muscles

    Ok,

i know when you work out with weights
Muscle break down you rest they come back bigger..

what about when you punch a heavy back and kick.. what happends??

i feel strong strain like my muscles are working hard.. is it cool to work 4 days a week in muay thai.. and rest one day??

    how does it work?

Depends. You must experiment. I train 6 days and rest 1. This changes every 3 or 4 months, depending on a large variety of little changeing variables.

What are your goals, how do you feel afters 4 days of MT and 1 day of rest, are you training for competition?

to be honest i train for the streets..

i want to be the strongest opponent any body on the street faces off with if i'm ****ed with..

i mean.. i'm constanly punching a 200 pound bag.. i know i have a knock out punch but i want to make sure i'm not hurting myself instead of helping myself.. know what i mean?

same for my kicks and elbows and knees..

      let me know

4 days on and 1 day off should be fine. But, like Yenhoi said it all depends. If that is what works for you, stick with it. Just mix it up once in a while so your training does not get stagnant. Keep up on the nutrition and be sure to get plenty of rest, too. Your body heals better and faster while resting.

train for the streets? get a car man, sheesh.

Do you condition your shins or anywhere else in addition to just striking? Any sort of Iron Shirt or Iron hands?

          I dont, just wondering.

It depends on alot of factors. Your age, genetics, and the intensity at which you train.

If you do 2 really intense weight training sessions per week I don't think you'd have anything left for the rest of the week.

Before anyone insists that this is not true, remember that I said "intense".

I do one weight training session per week, 1 grappling session and 2 punchbag/cardio workouts.

Mind you, I am the grand old age of 38, so younger people could do more.

But I would always recommend quality training rather than qauntity.

Nah, don't bother with cyberpump, unless you think you're some sort of jedi.

Cyberpump are on the verge of folding. They now want you to pay to get into the site, and I don't think they are having too many takers.

                      Shame really. A good site.

You should split up your cardio and weights. Maybe do your cardio or thai workout (or whatever you want to call it) on a 4 day on, 1 day off routine

for your wieghts, you can follow a 3 on, 1 off routine that looks something likes this:

                        Chest, back
                        Legs
                        Arms, shoulders

This is as basic and as intense as it gets. I'm 16. If you're older, you may want to hold off a little. You may want to take a week off after 4 weeks.

If you want to train for the strets, you may want to try Krav Maga

Hmm. That's a bold statement, saying that this particular routine is as basic as it gets. Training three days in a row will lead to less than optimal results for most people.

                            you are really annoying me

Did you read the original post? And other posts state that they work three or four days straight, and rest one. Manybe it was my fault and maybe they meant they workout four days a week. All I'm stryin to suggest is a workout shceme, so stop f#$@$^ contradicting me, and back OFF!!!!!!!

Well, I'm referring only to the weights part. Besides, when you are about to post something snappy, you should sit back and think about it first.
