    All I'm saying is that you don't need complicated drills to increase your balance. Keep them simple. You can do balance training maybe 5 minutes before your workout, but anymore isn't necessary. You should be able increase your balance with kicking, and technique practice.

      I've never had problems with balance as i've skated for years.
      What improved my balance though was using an indo-balance-board or one of these vew-do balance boards. They work great. You don't have to spent a whole bunch of money one one. Pick up a 2 litre bottle of coke, fill it with water so there's no air in there and slam an old skate deck on top.

          Nope Balance does not come from the abdomen.
          According to black belt and science research balanced is sensed from three sources. the vestibular system, vision and proprioception. Vestibular system is the sense of up and down located within the inner ear. Vision is obvious (try closing your eyes when standing on one foot see how more difficult it is than eyes open). Proprioception it is the result of the combined information the brain recieves from the Golgi tendon organs.
