  • heavy bags

I am interested in getting a heavy bag, but I have no room for it in my house I was going to hang it from my tree. Will a canvas bag work?I live in Nebraska so we get all 4 seasons, would a canvas bag hold up?

Hang a rope from the tree, make a loop from it, and leave it out.

Get an "s" hook, and use it to hang the bag to the rope. When you have finished training, bring the bag back in.

Then it will hold out. Otherwise it will start to rot in about 1 week.

Well, he is from Nebraska. Goats to a Nebraskan are like sheep to a New Zealander--the natives just can't resist em.

          What's Crackin'

My name is Goatman, But as a joke my friends call me Goatnipples because I hate it. There are a million other names they call me, but they were all taken when I tried to use them. Goatnippples was the only name yahoo would take. To my original Q. Not even canvas will hold up to the rain and snow?It really ain't that hard to hang it up and take it down every time I use it. Hee hee haa haa ryan that was funny? Most people don't have any orginal "Goat" jokes!

If price is not really a big factor I would go with a leather one. Simply because it stand up for longer and based on the ones I have seen in sports stores it will condition you a lot better. For example, in just doing kicks the leather bag is a lot harder, therefore, you condition your shins to be alot tougher. In seeing the canvas in the stores they seem to give alot more than the leather when you are punching or kicking

I personally don't look at it. But I suppose I'd know more shit if I looked at it regularly. I read a lot of shit though.

I would do a heavy bag workout, take the bag down, and sprint with it. Than put it back in the house. That would be a great workout, and the bag would probabaly last a bit longer. How would you feel like if you were hung out in the cold, the rain, and the unbearable heat 365 days a week?

I forgot bags have feeling too. I have no room for a heavy bag nor do I have the support. I guess my bag feels like dirt, huh . I have seen no damage to my bag from it being outside in the elements. I left it out during 3 days of rain and a week of snow. Also in the summer sun. NO damage. It ain't like there's a shortage on heavy bags it was only 100 bucks. This is my experiment.

I thought it wouldn't last in the rain or snow, I was wrong, but for how long..........who really gives afuck.....NOT ME.

Perhaps its the filling that counts. I had an old canvass bag filled with wrags. That turned purple, and life began inside it.......
