Hey nipple goat try opening up the bag and looking in it.
I left mine out in my garden and I punched it and my hand went through. all soil and worms in there not pretty

Canvas will be fine. I live in Colorado and I leave my bag out hanging from a tree all year round but don't try it with a water bag that first shin kick is a doozy. Not to mention replacing the burst bladders.

Oh if you have kids keep them away from it. I find they like to hit the bag with sticks, pipes and what ever else they can find to put holes in it. They are are quite proud of theselves when they do.
