      i have alot of friends that just getting out of the joint..

      they are not obesses with making their bones stronger with crap

      fighting is natural.. they don't think of it or are obessed with it cause they can knock fools out...

        From what I can tell goatnipples2002, all you want to learn a Martial Art for is to push other people around, I hate losers like that, and wont be helping anyone with your type of attitude and mindset, and I hope other more experienced Martial artist here will agree.

          dude my post was over 3 YEARS ago. I don't even practice any more I street race. I guess I grew out of martial arts. Don't talk shit over the net that doesn't make you tough or gain you any respect.

            (yea I didnt notice the date) How am I talking "shit"? all Iv said is I wont be helping you because of your attitude (which seems to be the same still), thats not talking "shit" or acting tough.....

              While the type of training that you are doing will certainly give you an edge over some run of the mill guy on the street who does not train, yu may encounter problems if you come across somebody who does have the benefit of an instructor. As mentioned above, an instructor will allow point out mistakes that you may displaying in your form. If you train under an instructor, you will constantly push yourself harder than if you train alone. Instructors will instill in you the necessary ability to be able to control your rage and to unleash it when necessary. Kicking somebody's ass at the drop of a dime will only lead to bad things, However, there are instances when a good ass kicking is called for and an instructor will also instill in you confidence in your ability. If you have somebody to critique you and to point out what you need to improve upon as a fighter, you will improve that much faster and when you do encounter somebody in the street, your technique will be cleaner. As far as the drills that you are doing, I would say that they are only a good beginning to becomming adept at street combat. Sparring, Hubud and kicking drills are good but knife fighting techniques and gun disarming should also be adressed in your training. If you are sparring with only one individual, this could also hinder your development because the street is not fair and you may likely face two or more attackers. While money may be a problem for training with an instructor, there are various sites on the internet which have articles on different drills and better yet, there are books and DVD's that will demonstrate certain street fighting drills which may not be as good as having an instructor but it is better than training on your own.

                Ok, i aint making live this thread, i just think its stupid to make a new thread over this question i got,.. i was having some traning whit me, my cousin and my pal, me and cousin train taekwondo, my pal trains kick box, now while he was on the boxing bag, me and my cousin sparred a bit,... after sparring (it was pretty long, maybe 20 min or more) we were kicking and punching, well his style is like kick, little punch, and more evadeing kick and all my punches, while my was, blocking his kicks whit my hand, after the sparring i have some pain in hands i think nothing is broken since it would make a crack and i would be in hospital by now, anybody done the same thing? i mean after blocking kicks had pain in hands, they are just sore... is this a good think or a bad thing? my cousin always says, every hit makes u harded... what about ur opinion...

                      you gotta have your road work, 2 to 3 miles a day, set up toning days. Run drills working boxing offense and kickboxing offense combos and then work block and counter drills.

                        sounds like he was hitting ya around the wrist. having pain there probably isn't a good thing. But when your sparring i'd probably start wrapping your hands.

                            All im gonna say is...

                            There is no subsitute for proper formal tuition / training, i would suggest that you try to find a way to take lessons in Martial arts but if this is unable then you should carry out a wide variety of exercise to keep you fit/healthy for when you would be able to take proper lessons
