  • Ouchu!

I sparred two of my friends today. Needless to say I kicked their butts However, now my 2 big knuckles on my right hand hurt a bit. Especially when I clench my fist. This is prolly normal, but I'm just wondering. Is my hand-wrapping bad? Should I put ice on em? Will the pain be gone in the morning? Thanx, I'm pretty sure its nothing serious at all.

Hello i think the problem might be that at the moment of impact you werent clenching your fist to tight, this use to happen to me when i started punching the heavy bag but it went away with more practice. its a good idea to take about 2 days off.

Using open handed strikes spares the knuckles very well.

        Update

It stopped hurting when I make a fist like 2 days after. But even know if I try and crack my knuckles by interweaving my fingers and bending them back, there is a sharp pain in the lower half of my middle finger. What is wrong?

What's wrong is your interlocking your fingers and bending them right back! Don't do it!
Your knuckle's just bruised. If it was broken, you wouldn't be interlocking your fingers without severe agony. I'd leave it along and not worry about it. Sometimes injuries take weeks (and months if you're old like me) to heal properly.

            Not knuckle

But the pain isn't in the knuckle. If you see how there are 3 parts of a finger, the bottom third segment of my middle finger is where the pain is, not the knuckle.

Basically you don't know what you're doing. You're training without guidance, using unsafe training methods to "perfect" doubtful technique. You're injuries are going to increase. Your skills are not.

Do yourself a favour and learn something properly. When you have a few years experience then you can train without supervision.

              No offence.
