Lots of small meals might help, maybe if you balance it well you can build muscle, have lots of energy and still lose fat.

Lots of small meals. And remember carbs can make you put on weight too if you eat too much of them. Some fat is required to be healthy.

Don't starve yourself, you will be weak, you will lose muscle and you could end up even fatter.

You need to eat less calories than your body needs for maintainence each day. If you really want to be accurate, there are some mathematical formulas you can use to calculate your daily calorie expenditure.

        weight loss

diciple is right on the money, the simple thing he mentioned about calories is "hidden" in every new diet that comes down the pike! its just that simple. in your situation its most likely one of the following- your eating above your maintenence level of calories,or your eating to far below your maintenece level and your body is conserveing calories, or and this is something everyone hates to hear its genetic and thats just the way your built if thats the case only a plastic surgeon can help.

Essentially that is what is comes down to. But keep in mind that infrequent eating, not eating enough and long periods of sedimentary activity will cause your body to adapt and lower its metabolic rate to accomodate the fact that its not actually going to be using all this energy or to save it (not eating enough or too infrequently) by storing the energy saved as fat cells in the antipose tissue. Basically just train hard (but not overtrain) and eat frequently and try to figure out how many calories you need with a calculator on the net, and then subtract from that a small amount to cause a deficit.

The best advice i can give, is to eat three square meals a day, and dont snack much.

Perhaps more, smaller meals is a better idea.

I've found a big breakfast consisting of whole grain cereal, banana, OJ, toast with PB (breakfast gets your metabolism revving and will help you burn more calories during the day). Then 2 small meals (lunch and dinner) filled in with fruit, nuts, and yogurt every few hours. I eat about 6 times a day, counting my meals. This plan keeps my satisfied and energetic all day.
