What do you do to workout you abs?

I have a great eight Pac of rectus abdominus and cool obliques.

    This is what I do
    ..........................
    500 sit-ups in the morning
    100 Decline sit-ups
3 sets of 23 reps with weight behind head
    Torso twisting on machine
    Gorilla leg raises
    Leg raises
    Reverse crunches
    Leg raised curl
From time to time I will perform 1000 sit-ups
    .........................

    This happens 3 times a week plus I do 500 sit-ups a day.
It keeps the belly at bay.

I told you to go to:http://t-forums.t-mag.com/t-forums_frames.html.

You can discuss your abs all you want. You come to a martial arts forum and want to talk about bulking up, your great abs, and want everyone to look at pictures of you. At T-mag that is all they talk about. You'll love it.

      Read the thread.
      Its about abs not bulking.
Abs are used in maritla arts.

        I read the thread.

        A) It has no direct bearing on BJJ/MMA. If anything, post this in training/nutrition. Post in the right section.

        B) Go to T-Mag. Those are your people. They love talking about their lifting routines and their great abs.

Abbs are really important. They allow us to be stable when fighting. They and they protect you from attacks to the mid section.

I think i put this post in the correct place.

Ummm, no Paul. First off, they are "abs" not "abbs". If you're going to start a thread, spell it correctly. Technically even "abs" is not correct, but since its the colloquial version of abdominals, I'll accept it.

That said, what does the title above this thread say Paul? Mixed Martial Arts and BJJ Forum. Does it say "abs" forum? No. Does it say training and nutrion forum? No. You posted in the wrong place. Period. End of story. You didn't post, how can I strengthen my abs for BJJ. You didn't post how are abs used in MMA. You said, I have really great abs, here is what I do to get great abs. Then you ended with saying it keeps the flab away, being totally oblivious to physiology (e.g. doing crunches has little to do with fat deposition). Stop the madness already.

Ok then how about, Rectus Abdominus, abdominal, solar plexus, Dan tian Eight Pac, Six Pac.

And for your next query. You said that I should post it in the training and nutrition section. May I should of. But I haven’t.
              So live with it.
This is the martial arts section. We talk and discuss about martial arts your abdominals come useful in martial arts. So I made a thread about abdominals.
Doing sit-ups does get ride of fat. It is a cardiovascular workout after all.

And I didn't call the thread "How can I strengthen my abdominals" because the subject was abs. I don't want to strengthen my abdominals but leaving the subject as abs allows people to leave comment to what they think of abdominals e.t.c.

Sit ups are not cardiovascular. Where do you get this crap? No one says, oh, I'm going to do cardio, then goes and breaks out 100 crunches. Why? Because its not cardio! That is why those stupid ab machine infomercials are such a joke because they promote fat loss (and targeted fat loss at that) by doing some sort of ab work. Doesn't work.

And you didn't start this thread to talk about how important abs are in martial arts. You started it to brag about your own abs.

You're a teenage boy. Its summer time. You should be going out and getting laid and not arguing with a cranky old dude online. Especially when you don't know what the hell you are talking about (I'd say you should be in summer school learning something, but I realize that you are a lost cause...it is refreshing though to see the British educational system is every bit as pathetic as its American counterpart....).

Crunches are not the same as sit-ups.

And it is a cardio workout for that you are using Cardio muscle. Your heart. There for it is cardio. It isn't weight training. It isn't circuit training though it can be classed as it. It is a Cardio workout old man.

Over the centuries many populations have been oppressed and prevented from practicing their arts. You must discover ways of training in secret...

You are a moron. I'm sorry, I just have to come out and tell it straight.

Any post-puberty male who cannot bench more than 110 lbs. cannot have any opinion on exercise. Pathetic. Just go back to doing your Van Damme imitations.

I want the thread to be about the abdominal workouts and facts. Not pointless child replies.
