heavy bag in the apartment - too noisy?

I'd really like to get a floor-standing heavy bag or a B.O.B. for my apartment, but I'm worried about the noise. Does anyone know if it would be loud enough to bother the people downstairs?

No it would be fine. I have a spar pro and it makes absolutely no noise whatsoever. But never ever hit it. If you do it will bang about and could well cause a noise nuisance for those down stairs.

I think I was being helpful. The thing would cause a war with his neighbours if he hit it. But it would be a nice friend and companion in the long lonely nights if he did not.

I have one and I kick it, but I live in basement floor

If you hit it repeatedly it would make loud annoying noises after the impact. (the thing will, bounce or something). Also filling it up with water or sand was a pain in the ass for me.
