Anyone have any thoughts on why supplementing a protein shake for trim milk powder and nesquik (for taste) would be any worse than a protein shake. Regular milk has a 2:3 protein to Carbohydrate ratio. So for a 40g protein intake youd be gettin 60g carbs. Ideally protein shakes can have less carbs but I mean hey. Its far cheaper and I can't really afford protein shakes so yea. Any input would be real handy.

How do you get 40g of protein from powdered milk? Milk, powered or otherwise, generally has something along the lines of 8g of protein/cup. Maybe 10-12 g/cup for some brands. But you'd have to drink 4 cups of milk to get 40g of protein. You can get a months supply of protein powder for less than $20, which is probably less than what all the milk is going to cost.
