If you found weight equipment (any one, like bars and weights) would you pick it up from the garbage area?

Just make sure it's in safe working order or in a state of "fixableness" (not a word, but it's 9 am and I'm not thinking clearly yet....that's the word that I just made up for it ) before you use it.

Hmmm, the bar is long, and it only has two 25 lbs. plates on it, but when I put it on my scale, it said 70 pounds ??

So its like, the bar itself is 20 lbs, I tried to curl the thing, and I couldn't and I was able to curl 50 lbs at my old gym.

It's not unheard of for some gyms to shave weight off the weights to make members feel like they are making progress.

Sometimes, that extra 20 lbs is just a little bit too much.

When I started weight training as a teen I would use any thing and every thing for weights. then I would search the Goodwill and Salvation army stores and find all kinds of stuff. to me weights are weights new or used they do the same thing.
