  • whats the best way to increase kicking power

can someone tell me some ways of how to increase kicking power, cuz i definitley don't know much about kicking power,

all i know is that you need correct stance and you use your waste to kick.

And the only way i know of is to kick the bag.

Your post doesn't make sense since it says kicking and punching power, you should edit that.

Anyways, there are a lot of ways to increase kicking power.
I'll try to list as many of them as I can.

You can try to improve your technique, lift weights with your legs and increase the amount of muscle, you can do plyometrics, you can decrease your stamina which increases your power and instead of running say 30 minutes run 15-20 minutes with sprints, that's all i got for now.

      kick with power.

Superbobby15: the way to have strong kicks is learn how to kick correctly, don't just watch a karate movie, once you have learned how to throw a effective kick, #1, KICK, kick a bag, do slow motion kicks in the air, do kicking drills with a partner, but espicialy kick a bag, #2. stretch. if your body is not flexable it will slow down and weaken your kicks. #3. run. run first distance, then work on sprints, concentrating on lifting your knees, and turnover speed, do polymetric drills, do weight lifting for the legs, also do free exercises for the legs, sqouts, climb up on a chair 50 steps with each leg, run stairs, etc. there are many exercises you can do to improve your kicks, try to mix them up and have fun with them.

thanks for your info i will take up on it.

lately i have been doing this kind of river training. i learned it from the track team. i think it works .

at my river there is a spot that i go to do some training. the water is about a foot deep. So i go out and find two sticks and put them about 40 yards apart from each other. Then i just do some strecthing so i dont pull anything. Then i run with highknees down stream 40 yards, then back upstream 40 yards. (when you go upstream its really hard and it hurts a lot.) Then do buttkickers down stream then up. Then i sprint down stream then up. then i back peddle, then i jump forward with both legs at the same time the whole forty yards down stream, then upstream(this is very painful, most people give up when they do it.)then i do side steps as fast as i can down and up stream, then i do lundges down then upstream. Then i do the most painful one of them all (which i can barely do) is frogs. (you get in a frog postion and jump up, then land back into a frog postion down and upstream. then i sprint again down and upstream. ( when you are doing these exercisesyour actually doing each exercise 80 yards, because you go down stream 40 yards then back upstream 40 yards.)i do 3 sets of all the exercises above.

Then to fininsh it i swim upstream as long as can, then where ever i stopped i put a little stick there. then the next time i do these exercise i must past that stick. so everyday i swim a little farther upstream.

Then when i go home i eat, drink a gatorade, then start benching, curling, and working my shoulders, for an hour. then im done for the day.when im done with these upper boby things i should have 10 sets of bench done.

Thats the training i do.TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK OF IT. (IT ALL MIGHT SOUND EASY, BUT WHEN YOU DO IT, IT IS EXTREMLY HARD.)
out of all my friends only one of them can handle it with me.All the other kids either are two lazy, out of shape, smoke weed all the time, or just don't want to do it.
