  • Hi guys! i'm new here! i've got this one question...

hi! i'm new! i have this kinda weird question that i didn't know whom to ask so i came here. ok so it's like that: i'm a 14 year old girl and for a while now i've been working out and concentrating on my abs so i've got this half of a sixpack lol! i'm continuing to work on my abs and i can see some improvment but the problem is that in the morning and usually during the day too the sixpack is visible but in the evening or at night it's almost like it disappears completely . also usually in the morning it's clearly visible but when i go to the swimming pool in the morning, again, it disappears and it's getting kinda annoying coz i've worked really hard on it! also i was just wondering, if i'm working on my abs everyday- how much time does it usually take to get a clear and visible sixpack (without any aquipment)?
oh and also i should mention that i've worked a lot to lower my body fat so that's not the problem i think and i don't want to lose anymore weight coz that would make me look anorexic which i think is very ugly and unhealthy. one last thing- ppl keep on talking about working on your abs with weights- what kind of weights are these supposed to be and how do i use them exactly (just hold them while doing the situps?)
thats about it, if u have any other interesting information to share about how to get a sixpack then please do.
    responses are very much appreciated!
    THANKS A LOT!

    That is Gravity.

While you sleep you lie down and your body lets water disperse through your body. But when you wake up and start going through your day gravity starts pulling. By evening the water has started moving downward.

the only way to combat it is to build your abs more, lower your body fat a little more, and pray

I would be careful about lowering your body fat at such a young age. You don't want your body fat to get too low. You can't judge your body fat just by looking in a mirror. Low body fat in young ladies can affect everything from your period to your growth rates. So I would not worry about body fat at such a young age.

You are right, i shouldn't worry much about it and i don't, i don't do any of these crazy diets, just try to eat healthy and i don't spend the whole day in the gym or jogging, i'm just trying to keep in shape because that is very important to me. i'm just doing some exercises or running or swimming every once in a while but you've made a very good point i think, thanx! as for the growth thing, i'm usually a little taller than girls my age and as for the period, it's normal.
btw this site is really great!

If your slim enough that you have visible ab muscles, then you've probably done more than enough for your looks allready. I don't think most people expect a 6-pack on such a young girl anyway

Having said that, usually the hardest part about working up a six-pack is lowering the body-fat enough. You really need to get very low in order to get a the visible abs. Training for more muscles can not really compensate much for it. I agree with the others that lowering your bodyfat further at your age is not advisable. In my opinion no healthy 14-year old should diet, so rather just try to keep the slim line you allready got, and work on the abs. Over time you should find that the abs come naturally as your body matures, if you keep to what your allready doing.

Very few people, apart from prefessional athlethes, die-hard sportsmen, or bodybuilders have sixpacks, so half a sixpack is allready a lot more than one should expect ^_^
