thx for that garrick. that was good. if you read it, it's like the man was saying, it's hard to explain. you have to feel it and experience it for yourself to know. otherwise it's like trying to explain the color green to a blind person.
me, i know it's real. but, i can't really explain it. go to a good internal styleist and they might(should) be able to show you. do i think it is some force that can be thrown at somebody? no, not in the least bit. but i do think it can literally make body parts more...durable i think is the word. just go and research, and experiment for yourself. it's not that hard.

I would like to hear if anyone actually turns up!Seriously though there are a lot of bullshitters out there.I went to one school and the teacher demonstrated how he could push people from about three feet away(On selected students suprise suprise!).But when asked to demonstrate on me he refused saying he did'nt want to make a show of it.When I pointed out that he had already he was not happy Jan!
But that should not take away from the genuine people and I hope some of them turn up.Ive already posted a thread to discuss the Tai gong action which is an esssential part of the Chi action but no-one has responded to that either. To me Chi is about correct frame, increased blood and proper breath control.

Well, all of you know my arguments for why I belive chi could MAYBE be real, but anyways, someone did exactly what was proposed on this thread. In Kungfu/Qigong magazine, they had an article one month featuring this "master" or chi guy (I don't know if he claimed to be a master or not, but he DID claim to be able to throw people backwards with his chi).
So anyways, a reader, thinking to himself that this guy is bulls**t, openly challenged the guy. he called up the news station and they were gonna film it on television for people, with this chi guy. And you can already guess what happened. Quoting the challenger guy, he said, in a letter to Kungfu/Qigong, "So far, he has given himself an out, by saying that it '...doesn't always work. But we knew that already, didn't we?" This writer was, according to his letter, along-time practitioner of internal martial arts, which was why he got suspicious.
So yeah, chi is bull I'm sure for most chi guys. Most of them just want to get their faces into some magazine.
Personally, I'd just travel myself, when I get the $$$, to various chi masters and ahve them perform their techniques on ME.
but hey, my sensei once told me a story that even HE himself couldn't believe. He was visiting this one internal kungfu school that was run by (literall) a little old lady, who was the chi and internal martial arts expert there. Somehow, the question of how she would defend herself came up, amongst their conversation, because she was so small. She said, quoting from what my sensei said she said, "If an attacker came at me, I would punch him through the chest, grab his heart, and rip it out!" (!!!!!!!!!!).
Maybe we should call her up for some lessons
