I train to something which is both emotionally moving and allows focus. I use my emotions to help push my body to it's pure limits, although it kills me later, but epsom salt for that night and the next night normally wear down the tension and I tend to increase substantially. The more emotions you push into a single thing while containing control, the more power you gain in it, as long as you don't let it wear you down too quickly.

You've got to be kidding! The music from punchout is like karaoke for the technologically and musically challenged. Do you dance to Soda Popinsky's little russian jig song...LMAO? You're a strange bird.

I was expecting you to say something like...yeah, I like to play the deep, dark goth songs while wearing a Marilyn Manson Mask.. just kidding.

it aint music str8 outta the game u hermie, in one of the mp3's the music was redone by a band, and the other version it was redone on some equipment which gives it an electronic/techno sound. same for the street fighter songs, they were redone by other people and turned into actual songs. if u got AIM i can send em to u and u can see what im talkin about. the mp3's are actually really cool.

Music has a lot to do with it. I like a range of different things - it's more the way it moves you than what type. I actually just made a training CD that has things from Clocks/Coldplay, There Goes the Neighborhood/BodyCount, Moonlight Sonata/Bethoven, Arise/Sepultura, Pantera, Nancy Sinatra, and the braveheart theme - and all sorts of random stuff. It's gotta be something that moves you for some reason though...

                  Kruder & Dorfmeister

without a doubt these guys are the most sophisticated re-mixers in the electronica/dance/techno genre around today. Creating a varied and exciting ambience, especially thrilling for a rigorous workout such as weights or Boxing.

their best album so far - The K&D Sessions (2 cd set) part 1 and 2.

                  cccccccchhhhhhheck it outtttt dudzzzzz

Linkin Park, Rammstein, and KMFDM have some really good stuff for strength and aerobic workouts. The soundtracks to xXx and the movie adaptations of Resident Evil (the first one) and Mortal Kombat II have some great stuff. If you can find it cheap, there is one piece on the soundtrack to The One that is good.. it was featured when Jet Li was doing some of his forms.

For stretching or something like tai chi, the soundtracks to Hero and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon have some very good pieces... especially Hero. The soundtracks to Bulletproof Monk and Anna & the King have some nice stuff as well. The soundtrack to the IMAX film Everest has some great stuff for stretching and tai chi, too.

For jogging, you might check out Noriyuki Asakura's soundtracks to the Tenchu games. Also.... one that is really silly, but a good song is "Be a Man" from Mulan. If you can find and understand the Chinese version of the soundtrack, the Chinese version of "Be a Man" is sung by Jackie Chan.

You can also search around for MP3s of music from anime. "Heart of Sword" from Rurouni Kenshin is a good one, as is "Around the World" from Initial D. Angela's Sora no Koe has some good pieces, too.

                      Honestly,
I love training to music does not bring out agression. I train with heavy music but a little salsa really turns what ever you are doing into fun!
