How many of us have the will to kill in a fight? I don't mean murder, I mean reaching the realization that :

"If I don't kill him he won't stop and eventually kill me."

Your religion is not in question here. Can you kill and walk away with a clean conscience? Feeling slightly disturbed is natural you are still entitled to it.

After some brushes with death in the street, I seem to have reached that point. I'm not declaring that I'm the best, just that if you hurt me I'll fight back and if you don't stop I'd have to kill you eventually.

All I said was I think I can cross the line when the need arises. What is so pretentious about that? Does it raise a martial artist to a higher level if he can? To some people it's not that easy, some even with the upper hand in a fight would plead with their assailant to stop because the attacker could get killed, and after winning feels so messed up and discontinue training.
