What a gambler, even if your chances are a million to one, you grasp that one millionth of a chance like a fly to a piece of shit. Lucky your not a gambling addict thats for sure!

Okay I know i come outta left field every now and then but youre surprised im aware of reality

Yes people spout that shit about on any given day...they tell us anyone can become President of the united states so long as were born here too, that doesnt make it true either.

somehow i imagine any top mma competitor being able to recover from mistakes, slips, the old bananna peel so to speak than the younger inexperienced fighter. People forget the one thing NO teacher or STYLE can give you is REAL fighting experience. The closest you can get is wrestling, boxing, MT and mma or old school JJ.

experience is one of the most vital aspects to being a martial artist, being at least slightly humble while seeking to test your knowledge base and courage is a very good idea.

Have you ever heard of Kwan Saihung? Do you know his life story?

the name rings a bell but i dont honestly know anything about him i dont think. and boarspear understand i have practised what i train all the time throughout my life i have been involved in alot of street violence (not without reason ofcourse but was all badly influeced but it has helped me and i dont regret it) my lifetime training partner my best friend and i dont train like regular people either we take everything to the limitations of the human body and mind. we do fight each other and are both equal in nearly every aspect because we have lived on the same block most of our lives, and always trained since an early age we both used to box and were both top at every challenge we met. i have faought good fighters, both of our elder familt member are long term martiala rtists with vast knowledge to give, we have lived lifes of modern day warriors believe it or not, we have both bocome men and now want to go back into fighting in modern challenges, we both feel we are ready for any challenge i know 99% of you people think im young lying inexperienced and wreckless and dont know what im talking about. but thats ot the case i do speak from my own life experiences when i talk of combat and methds, its easy to critisize someone but its harder to come to terms that someone is the real deal when you dont know them or cant even see them i udnerstand.

        peace

I asked you about Kwan Saihung, for a reason. Go out TODAY and get "Chronicles of the Tao" By Deng Ming-Dao. If you cant find it order it! Its his life story, so far.
He grew up from the age of 6 in a Taoist Temple. He was trained by some of chinas best and fought in several wars. He killed multiple men in challenges and war. He was later beaten in the ring by an american boxer in his first ring fight... He sounded alot like you in his younger days, READ THE BOOK.

A Master of a fighting temple once told a young (and soon to be defeated with a stick) Miyamoto Musashi he could hear him coming from a great distance, so to speak.

It is critical to be confident, it is stupid to be arrogant. You underestimate all the other "real" martial artists in the world and on this forum, you arent the only one, you know...

If there arent other great martial artists, who taught you? And where did your teachers learn? Are you the only person these people pass thier skills on to? Then why are you the only one acting like a peacock?

              2) well said!
3)fuckin' A! give the man a cigar, he nailed that shit on the head.

I'm a year younger than this gong fu guy. I can't believe he didn't grow out of this "Ken & Ryu" shit long ago...but still...it's so romanticized in martial arts, it's kind of hard to seperate from the whole "Best fighter" b.s.

Nobody is the best. People just get good, and have their days, but when all is said and done, nobody can play king of the hill forever.

                BoarSpear..
When you come out of "left Field" your pretty sharp..and wise. Gotta watch people like that. Very good posts.

So East London is such a rough town? Never knew that.
There are tons of bad places, everywhere, that you'd never think about, so I could be wrong again. For example; I always thought East Buffalo, NY was tough till I went to D.C. (what a surprise) Camden, NJ is horrible. Atlanta, GA sounds nice but outside the city is a ghost town of stripped down cars and bodegas. I once bought a car on ebay from Hartford, CT..drove out there to get it and it was at a chop-shop in one of the biggest slums I've ever seen with about 100 mexicans standing around a garage full of cars from the 60's and 70's. (Always thought CT would be a real cushy place to live).

Real poor ghetto areas are everywhere. Miami and Tampa florida are tough too. Of course you can read that all in the news; but I've never read about how tough East London is...unless of course you're talking about South Africa.

Everyone gets in fights and has a tuff time growing up, but dont think your from one of the roughest neighborhoods and had to fight to survive. I know people that had to fight to survive...they dont spend their time on computers. Most of them dont know how to even use a computer.

I think the reason you fought so much is you're trying to prove something to yourself.

                  1. The nice thing about ego is that everyone has one. Obviously Gong fu's ego is somewhere in the heavens!

                  2. I'd like to know who's his shaolin master as well. I like peacock soup!

                  3. Enough talking now, I want to see the guy fight and somebody get hurt. Even little children have to find out the dangers of fire by touching it! I want to see Gong fu's skills, its one thing to talk alot on these boards, another is to show us...so I want videos and pics ASAP since he's so eagar to.
Time to show us your true colours boy and remember "Deserters will be shot!"

True, I work in Camden and live not far away, but in the last 8 years, I've only had one incident which never escalated to a real fight.
I never look for a fight and I study MA so I don't have to fight.

Many things come from the practice of martial arts. I myself have my own views(philosophies) of life and conduct. Also if you've noticed there are some MAs that actually practice poetry. I say this because fighting is a very stimulating event(sparring in the dojo and through shadow moxing/training). I believe this stimuli causes harmony with internal emotions that may disrupt the yin yang of your daily life by being the absolute defense against certin impurities.

i'm a firm believer in yin/yang so i think that we should have a balance between our physical, spiritual and mental sides. everything should come together perfectly to get the maximum. it's worked for me so far.

martial arts aren't for defense only. they're meant to be applied to daily life so i like to go out and study the things that the martial arts are based off of.
