You might think about the idea that he is being nice to you. He may not hit hard on purpose. He hits you just hard enough so you know you were hit. That is how trusting partners train. You cannot train all day hitting each other for real so you tap them to let them know, you both acknowledge who got in the strike, and keep going.

Isn't it odd how you have problems with a bleeding asshole and you often talk about mounting people. jk
        Coincidence h2h? I think not!

So studiobuddy have you actually tried taking this kid down? I have a friend who's been doing TKD for 12 years now and I hand his ass to him every time with a combination of submissions and wrestling. (Sure doesn't mean much but it makes you feel mighty fine when you're feeling down.)

I remember on my first day at wrestling practice when we were having matches to see who would be the team captain. One of the guys during a matched did a judo throw on another kid and landed in a head and arm the second they hit the ground. After he secured the head and arm he bent down and kissed him on the forehead. I thought it was pretty funny at the time and swore to myself I'd never let anyone beat me that bad. Boy was I wrong...

And if he has good takedown defense or can spwral??

Or if he's skilled enough to catch you with a knee to the head while coming in ,then what?

You seem to assume that no CMA stylist will know anything about grappling ,that's a bad habit. I hope you don't meet any that do ,you sound like the type that would walk right into a technique.

Don't worry about getting a sprawl. CMA's don't know jack about takedown defense. They might do a double forearm block if you're slow but I'm sure you'll take him by surprise by doing a takedown.

                  Ohhh boy...

And how would you know about what takedown defenses CMA has?

I have no problem with BJJ,MMA or any art for that matter ,it's only when those people try to tell you what CMA has to offer ,and they've never studied CMA or spent a very little time in it and think they know it.

I study CMA not only do we work on Takedown defense ,but we also work on sweeps from the guard as well as passing the guard and other grappling techniques.

We also do it with our own CMA techniques not anything borrowed from any BJJ or MMA training i've done.

                    Generally speaking, Bjjexpertise is right.

What MA are we talking about here? As far as I know CM artists don't even have the concept of being taken down in their heads. They feel that the other guy will always fight them standing up.

Thats exactly all it is, as far as you know. Meaning you actually don't know that much at all about the subject.

Do you think CMA's think like robots or something? becuase as far as I know as a CMA student, we train and try to prepare for every situation possible. We do mainly practice stand up fighting, but we also practice ground fighting.

And we also practice takedowns and takedown defenses.

So, I don't know where your getting your information from, because as a CMA student everything you have been saying is total BS from my perspective.

I don't mean to insult or anything, but I am just saying that as a student of Chinese Martial arts I don't agree with what you are saying because I practice and train for many situations, including ground fighting, and takedowns.

Most CMA spend relatively little time on it and are not that great at it. That, I believe, is the point. Not all, most.

What martial art(s) are we talking about here? Is it JKD? I can see JKD guys spending some time on proper takedown defense but that still won't suffice because they are spending too little time preparing against it.
Other than that I don't know of any CMA that teach you ground work and takedown defense. Some CMA teachers may teach their students takedown defense but I can pretty much guarantee that the teacher doesn't even think someone will attempt a takedown and won't teach takedown defense or will think that the soltion to srviving on the ground is punching at the groin.

You mentioned earlier that strength was an important factor in fighting. You never can tell how strong a person is by looking at them. You say you're 16, so naturally the better fighters are over agressive when compared to average high school kids.

He also had some pretty good drunken boxing skills. We decided to a little sparring and all I can say is we was fast as hell! He would like do some counterattacks and then out of know where he was on my left side and did an uppercut. Which I blocked with a down block because well, I had a down block form already made when he did it. His strength was alrighty. His kicks were fast and snappy. He could get his sidekicks up fast as hell without warning. The thing he lacked was inertia. He didn't use a lot punch in his punches and crap. His little blocks and palming knife hand crap looked a little to snappy to be useful. I dunno for sure though but im going to spar again with him. Whats a good thing to learn to fight against a kung fu kid like him? His reactions were too fast, u cant sucka punch him oranything

Jesus, you little school kids make my head hurt.
