      Training Dummy

You would probably have to build your own. A boxing heavy bag is ok, but it is hard to simulate neck strikes, etc. I once made a body shaped dummy from several bundles of old, discarded 2 inch fire hose. Bundled tightly and tied and duck taped together. It was a 150 pound monster, but it had a little give when you struck it and didn't bang up your equipment. BTW I also used it to practice Thai kicks and knee strikes...it was better than a banana tree! LOL!

My guess would be the type that posts in sections that he's not a member of (like JKDU students only) and the type that gives really off base advice in an old thread where 2 friends are just catching up. That's the type of dummy I really hate, so far you're 2 for 2.

Either I am missing the humor or you might be mistaken by what we are talking about.

We have made some dummies at our school where a heavy bag is the body then we build a spine and arms out of wood. Very good for trapping and doing stick work on.

I was refering to you posting in the section that is reserved for my school only (jkd unlimited students ONLY) and secondly to your post #14 in this thread, but trying to do it with a sense of humor. Sorry if it didn't come off as intended. Mahalo, Jeremy
