Okay here goes, Bruce and Wong Jak Mon did fight and only James Yimm Lee and Linda Lee was present for the fight. Except for some of the Chinese Council. No Inosanto, or Ted Wong ! Wong's style did not favor the style for Wing Chun to go against, therefore the fight ended much later than Bruce would have liked, he was tired after words. So he adjusted some things.
As for the " Dragon The Bruce Lee Story " 90% of that movie was fiction. It was based off Linda's book but she gave them the rights to alter it anyway they wanted. You know how Hollywood is. For example, Bruce hert his back lifting weights not getting kicked in the back by Wong Jak Mon, Bruce's book "Tao of Jeet Kune Do " was not published while he was alive, it was compiled of notes, by John Little. He didn't start training in Wing Chun when he was a little boy, he was thirteen when he started training. His dad did not take him to Yip Man to train. His dad was against him learning Wing Chun, because it was considered to be gang related back then.
That was just a few fictional parts, now I read someone mentioning the fight on "Enter The Dragon" Bruce did get in a fight with an extra on the set. Refer to the remade DVD to hear Linda Lee talk about this. He also got challenged a few more times, like when he moved back to Hong Kong someone jumped his fence and challenged him. He side Kicked him to the Hospital . Or when he was to guest star on Batman as Kato, Robin ( don't remember his real name ) bad mouthed Bruce in the papers leading up to episode. Bruce responded," that he was going to show him he was real " but Robin never said anything to him on the set.
This is just a few things that I tried to answer for some of you who mentioned these on other post.
