        Kseer,

If you have low stringth, you probably have not been hiting the gym. Now is a good time to start. Have someone show you proper bench press form, and do not wory that others are pressing more weight than you. Exercise is not a competishion. Start slow and make sure you ask someone to spot for you.

Push ups are great to, and you can do them at home. The bullys probably percieve that you think you are weak, and they are taking advantage of it.
In my opinion, self defense is 85% + aditude.

In your situation, the style you study is not nearly as important as gaining some self confidence. You can defeate these guys if you study nothing more than ping pong, if you have the right additude. Go for it with the MMA.

          Kseer,

I have to agree with what Mike and Happy Cat said. Self confidence will take care of most of your problems. If you learn to carry your self right and learn to become more aware of your surroundings then you will avoid most problems. Happy Cat is right... bully's are able to pick up when people have low self confidence and low self esteem so when you take that away you also take away that target they are looking for.

I also think you should do group classes as well as personal or private lessons if you are able to. Make sure that you are able to spar at the classes. I am not suggesting that you spar right away but you will need to spar. When you are sparring don't worry about getting hit or taken down because that is all part of it and that is how you learn. Sparring is where you hone your skills and develop your timing and movement.

          Good luck
