        Hey Bremnar,

There are a few JKD schools in Toronto, and all of them fall in either one of two lineages. To my knowledge this list is complete.

        Jeet Kune Do Family
        - founded by Makoto Kabayama, one of the very first senior full instructors under Paul Vunak of Progressive Fighting Systems. He's trained extensively with quite a few people, is very knowledgable, and very very very good.
        - there are a few schools started by Makoto's students, some are which are informal training groups, and some are full-time schools, all the instructors are PFS-ranked.
        1. 3rd degree Martial Arts - Makoto Kabayama (Senior Full Instructor in PFS) 3rd Degree Martial Arts - A one of a Kind Martial Arts School with Makoto Kabayama
        2. Fighting Arts Collective - Shawn Zirger (Full Instructor in PFS) this is the school I call home, and imo, one of, if not the best, school in Toronto. Welcome to the Fighting Arts Collective
        3. Sunrise Martial Arts - Grant Sawyer (Full Instructor in PFS) www.sunrisemartialarts.com
        4. Turning Point Training Methods - Jason Lancucki (Full Instructor in PFS, now a SBGi associate school) www.turningpointtrainingmethods.com
        5. Jeet Kune Do Fighting Arts - Paul Irish (Full Instructor in PFS, Jun Fan/Jeet Kune Do Grappling Association) in Brandtford Paul Irish JKD
        6. Dog Brothers Martial Arts Toronto Training Group - Rene Cocolo (Candidate Dog Brother) search for "Toronto DBMA Training Group" on Facebook.
        7. East End JKD - Steve Lee (Full Instructor in PFS)
        8. Toronto JKD - Peter Chassikos (Full Instructor in PFS, Jun Fan/Jeet Kune Do Grappling Association) www.torontojkd.com
        9. Kier McManus - teachs at TPTM
        10. Evan Chassikos - Private Training
        11. Steve Horsch - Private Training
        12. Desmond Watson - Private Training
        13. Jun Dazai - teaches at TPTM
        14. Ralph Lewartowski - was Carlos Newton's training partner - Private Training
        15. Eric Pedersen - Private Training
        16. Paul Zenchuch - Private Training
        17. Burton de Castro Sousa - Private Training
        18. Smiley Ahmed - Private Training
        19. Dave Moon - Private Training
        20. Patrick Guerra - Private Training

Trinity Jun Fan / Kombat Arts
        - Both schools certified under Salem Assli (two schools aren't related)
        - Kombat Arts is in Missisauga. I haven't trained there myself, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. It's a large school that offers lots of training in different arts.
        1. Trinity Jun Fan - Scott Redstone (Full Instructor in Jun Fan, Kali, and Savate [silver glove] under Salem Assli) Bruce Lee's Jun Fan JKD and Filipino Kali in downtown Toronto
        2. Kombat Arts - Joey De Los Reyes (Long list of credentials - see website) Toronto Muay Thai: Toronot MMA, Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts, Judo, Wrestling, Savate

I actually just realized that this reply is 3 months late, but hope this helps anyways... lol

        Cheers
        Ted

          Hey Ted,

thanks for listing us as well (Trinity group). I was going to do a less detailed reply...ie JKD Family / Trinity / Kombat. There's also the Brian Zarnet's group that comes through Burton Richardson's JKD Unlimited and Vunak's PFS.

So Bremner, did you ever go check any of the places out?

          Shawn
