  • ...path to the Olympics.

I was wanting to know if any of you have ever known someone in TKD who has competed in the olympics, or of someone who is involved with it? I have my eyes on the 2008 Olympics in China, but I am not quite sure how to go about qualifying for such a thing? Any feedback would be helpfull. (i have already been to the olympic site, and the wtf site isn't much more helpfull) thanks

Uh... your instructor would probably be better suited to telling you how to go about it... and he would probably be able to tell you if you have a blue chance in hell heh. It's nice to dream dude but not EVERYONE gets to go to the olympics.

Go to tournaments and win and win convincingly. You need to win regional tournaments and just move yourself up. It takes a whole lot of money to travel around going to tournament. It doesn't just work well I can beat everyone at my school and I have placed first in all my tournaments I am going to try out for the olympics. You have to be a mainstay on the tournament scene. You need to become state champion, world champion and then worry about the olympics.
