There's a correct sequence of learning the techniques of BJJ. Anyone know what it is? Would the first technique be a sweep or guard pass?

Sometimes I wonder if you actually trained under a Brazilian BJJ BB!
You usually join in your first class and do the moves that the instructor is teaching during the particular class. BJJ curriculum is not as strict as other MA styles.
But in case you get two newbies in the same class at the same time, they might be pulled aside for some boring guard pass training.
In my first, I learn choke until the opponent taps.

The first technique is tying the Judo belt.

Helio typically teaches a self defense program he made that incudes defenses against weapons, headlocks, bear hugs ect. and then moves onto some other stuff.
