  • Houston Renegade Results?

Post 'em if you got 'em!

I wanted to go to the show but couldn't.

I'd appreciate any results and/or color commentary.

Yea, Yves won unobstructed. He won in about 30 seconds for each of the 2 matches.

His opponants were terrible. They had no business being matched against Yves. It was probably there first fight.

Put an experienced fighter against a beginner and of course he'll have an easy win -- big deal.

Yves works out with the promoter. You can put 2 and 2 together.

There were some good fights on the card and I think Renegades is a good producton.

i don't think it was fixed or weighted. but it seemed to me they had a tough time getting competitiors. if i remember correctly they were post for fighters up until 2 wks before the event. i went to the one before the last one and it was very exciting event.

I was kinda disapointed. The level of fighters was way down from Saul's previous shows.

Yves won his first fight in 2 or 3 minutes with a triangle, and his second in 1 or 2 minutes with a K.O. kick.

The heavyweight division was a letdown because it only had 3 fighters. Edwin Alsietz didn't make weight. Pete Spratt moved up to heavyweight and lost his first fight via keylock to a wrestler.

The lightweight division had some pretty good fights, but the fighters weren't near the level as they were at the first 3 Renegades.

One thing that was excellent about the event was the location. The Arial Theater is a PERFECT place for a MMA show.
