    Hello everyone,

I just joined up and am looking forward to some good information exchanges. I have read many of the posts in the past, and recognize some of the more experienced members.

I live and work and train in and around Boise, Idaho.

Hope to talk to you soon

    Thanks,

      Dan asked,

      How do you pronounce that?

Its pretty simple. its the "th" sound combined with the "at" sound you hear in the word cat or hat. It is not the at sound you hear in the word what.

      Hope this helps.

                Thanks for all the greetings!

                Szczepankiewicz

                Suh-spank-a-witz

not my real name, but the name of a friend I had in the Army many years ago. I tried to come up with something that sounded tough, but the "Bright Blue Meanie from Boise" was already taken!

As for what and where I train:

I train jujutsu at Kantan Kyo Jujutsu, at the kashimunji dojo here in Boise. www.forthazel.com. We are a small school mostly training in pure self defense. Meaning we train full-contact and we aren't into competition at all, but I have a great appreciation for all those who do step into the ring.

I have also had some training with the Boise State University Judo club. My primary training partner is a Kenpo stylist and we exchange information and work with each other a lot.

                Not too exciting...

How about you all. Who/what/where/ how do you all train?

                THX,
                SZ

No, I don't know anyone on this message board personally.

My training partner (using the term "partner" scares me a little) (not that there's anything wrong with that....) isn't on the boards yet. Actually, I don't know of anyone from around here who reaches very far past their own dojo to see what else is out there.

I guess we are all too busy 'tater farming'...

                        Tater, as in Potato.

The State of Idaho's logo is "Famous Potatoes"

                        Don't ask me why....
