Qkfx - you're the idiot bro

    1. The US foreign policy towards the Middle East has everything to do with what happened.

    2. Our interests in the Middle East lie solely in the oil found underneath the sand. How is Israel in any way, shape or form, our strategic ally? What does the USA stand to gain by being allies with Israel besides arms sales? That is what the USA means by "ally" my friend.

    3. Have you even read the Koran? Obviously not, because you firmly display your ignorance by posting such horrible and hateful s*hit.

    4. The kids dancing in the streets are not celebrating because they've been taught since birth that suicide bombings and killings of innocents are glorious. They are celebrating because in their eyes, justice was served. Now we know what they feel like when we see dead innocents littering our streets.

    5. This is has nothing to do with religion. They merely use religion as a pretense. What they really want to do is just cause as much f*ucking damage to Americans as possible. It doesn't matter if we're Christian, Jewish, Buddhist or Aetheist... if we're American, we should die...

    6. According to our American standards, we haven't terrorized anybody, but who are we judge? And why should everything be judged according to American standards? I'm sure there are plenty of Arabs who feel that dropping bombs and killing innocent men, women and children are acts of terrorism. If China, Russia, Cuba etc... are all such horrible countries and try to control everyone, why aren't there bombs and terrorists f*ucking things up over there? Are you a moron? Why do we always point the finger at others. This should serve as a wakeup call. There are better ways to deal with the crazies than throw bombs and talk s*hit to them... it just adds fuel to the flames... and someone is going to get burned in the end... why create a situation where that could happen? If acting like a badass results in having planes crash into the world trade center, then I think it's time to re-examine what our other options are. Or perhaps we should just throw more bombs???

    7. It's ignorant Americans such as yourself which give all Americans a bad name and is the reason why America is such a target for terrorism. It is you my friend, who should read up on some world history.

    8. Just wanted to point out that not all Americans hate Arabs or Muslims or think that Muslims are all militant gun-toting terrorists. I know that's what we make it look like, considering how we report it all and fill the movies with evil Arab terrorists, but there are people out there with cooler heads.

    9. Those responsible for this horrible act should be punished to the full extent. USA should be prepared to rage war with whoever and whatever government is responsible.

    10. A good president should know when to bend and when to be firm. Bombing Iraq during his first 10 days in office doesn't show any amount of tact. All it shows is that he's an arrogant, Texas cowboy.

you are all missing the picture

        whoa guys,

i think you are missing the picture. you guys are acting as if the United States did not know that this was coming. our own government has been saying that we have effectively been in a state of war with Osama bin Laden for the past 10 years. our government knew that bin Laden would be finding opportunities to cause destruction, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to thwart several attempts by him in the past. whether it proves to be bin Laden, who knows? but regardless of who did it, the US knew that it was going to happen, but just couldn't predict when, where, how and that it would be something of this horrific magnitude. this is just pure plain fact.

if you think that foreign policy has no relevance here, then please at least consider this. foreign policy and diplomacy is what prevents wars and f*ucked up shit from happening in the first place. this is just pure plain fact. we can't always solve problems with missles. why is that concept so hard for some people to understand?

I cried when I saw all that destruction on TV. But because I chose not to lick Bush's balls doesn't mean I'm not an American. How many people agree that if we kill bin Laden, another dude will replace him sometime in the near future and still want to kill more Americans. We had better do more than just ASSUME this "fanatic" Arab is a raving psycho lunatic. Because that's what we assume now, and look at where it's gotten us. Besides, if he is a raving psycho lunatic, we need to take all the more measures to ensure that he would be caught or killed before he commits more acts of mass murder. But killing bin Laden doesn't do ANYTHING to change the situation in the Middle East. Which will cause more bin Laden wanna be's. Is that what you guys want? Why not examine your foreign policy just as a matter of precaution, huh? why do you have to be so badass? why you gotta go and push a f*ucking crazy raving psycho lunatic to the brink to commit mass f*ucking murder?

the greatest leaders win wars without ever launching a missle. ask all great warriors and generals, doesn't matter what country you are from.

          Flyingchoke, Are you for real????

Here are the facts, 1000's of fellow americans were murdered in what is nothing short of an act of war. To even bring up some form of justification for this act is highly inappropriate!

I'm reading between the lines and I believe you honestly feel we had it coming, that it's about time!

Would you be saying this was justice if one of your loved ones was one of the "innocent" victims. I imagine that you're probably indifferent to the situation because you're not smart enough to realize that this definitely affects you.

Get off of your "Evil empire" kick. We're the good guys and if you can't handle it, move. Go find yourself a government that operates on purely altruistic motives, has no enemies, has never acted on personal interests, and remains completely nuetral in every situation. My advice would be a country like Palestine where you would be allowed to express your opinion and be praised for doing so......

First I want to say that I grew up in New York and found out last night that a friend I've know since I was 14 was on the 104th floor of one of the Twin Towers and has mostly likely died. And I'm worried that over the next few days and weeks I'll find out that more people I grew up with were there and didn't make it (I know a few who were there or in the area but got out). So this is very personal to me.

Flyingclockchoke, you accuse other people of ignorance and then show your own by claiming that China and Russia aren't the victims of terrorist attacks. Do you remember all the apartment buildings in Moscow that were blown up last year? Living in Beijing, haven't you heard of the bombs that minority sepratists from western China occoasinally detonate.

We can't really argue over whether or not this is justified or a reslut of US foreign policy in the Middle East until we know who did it. Although from the suspects identified and the evidence already gathered it would seem to be linked to the Muslim world and Osama bin Laden.

Assuming this is the case we have to be careful not to think of this as a holy war devoid of politcal motive and not a result of US/Western policy in the Middle East. But we also can't discount the power of religous fantacism. Bin Laden obviously believes he is doing this for God and Islam.

I hope that people don't use this as an excuse to demonize Arabs and Muslims though. Islam like most other religions has many different sects and schools of though.

One other thing to keep in mind is that Osama bin Laden is another one of the CIA's old friends (like Pol Pot and various murderous right wing militias of South and Central America). The CIA aided him in Afghanistan's long war with the Soviet Union.

              for the record

              Yo Keithws,

              Check it out:

Here are the facts, 1000's of fellow americans were murdered in what is nothing short of an act of war. To even bring up some form of justification for this act is highly inappropriate!

I couldn't agree with you more, and for the record, I DO NOT condone what happened. This is without a doubt, an act of war and harsh swift action should be dealt out! It would be hateful and deplorable for somebody to justify what happened. For the record, I DO NOT justify these horrible acts caused by these terrorists.

I'm reading between the lines and I believe you honestly feel we had it coming, that it's about time!

I wish you wouldn't do that because you are inaccurate. I don't feel we deserved this. For you to even suggest such a thing is wrong. How can I feel like that with all those people dead? Get real man.

Would you be saying this was justice if one of your loved ones was one of the "innocent" victims. I imagine that you're probably indifferent to the situation because you're not smart enough to realize that this definitely affects you.

I have friends who worked within 1 block of WTC and watching the news made me sick to my stomach. I stayed up all night, haven't had any sleep trying to call them. I haven't heard from all my friends yet, and there is the possibility, God forbid, that I might not hear from all of them. I cried when I saw all the destruction. I don't need to have friends or family killed by this tragedy to feel sad and anger. Why would you even assume that?

Get off of your "Evil empire" kick. We're the good guys and if you can't handle it, move. Go find yourself a government that operates on purely altruistic motives, has no enemies, has never acted on personal interests, and remains completely nuetral in every situation. My advice would be a country like Palestine where you would be allowed to express your opinion and be praised for doing so......

Now that's what I'm saying... it's precisely this ignorant, pig-headed and arrogant outlook, that makes people hate Americans. Also, just because I don't agree with you, I've gotta move? Go to hell. Why should I have to move? I can't express how I feel now or what? You're the guy who's gotta move. Ignorant arrogant Americans are prime targets for terrorists. Please leave the country now! Get as far away from the USA as possible. I would hate to think that all those innocent people died because some psychos got pissed off by a racist remark made by some redneck.

You guys are just pissed off and need somebody to bitch at, and that's cool. But we're on the same side you guys. I just have my own opinions on how this could have been averted. What's wrong with that? You want to believe as if I'm trying to justify what happened? Why would anybody do that?

                E1am

I'm glad at least one other person has a head on their shoulders! All I've been saying is that we should exhaust ALL our options and find the best way to avert future disasters and to prevent them from ever happening again... we can either do this by killing all of them, or trying to figure out a way for everyone to get along without killing anybody... this is foreign policy... this is diplomacy...

Granted, religious fanatacism indeed goes a long way, but at that point, we just have to treat him like a complete lunatic. Because anybody that would do what he did (if he did), is completely off his rocker. Which is WHY we should be all the more careful... Because we should FEAR the lunatic madman because he will do anything... he doesn't give a s*hit!!!

I wasn't displaying ignorance for China and Russia not having terrorists, I was merely telling a white lie. But these are all domestic problems or problems along the borders... guerrila fighting. We're talking repeated attempts to cause massive scale death and destruction on the part of Osama bin Laden. You have to admit, nobody hits harder than Osama... no Chinese separtists or Chechnyen rebels can top what just happened...

I don't know if you guys can believe that such a geographically small region like the Middle East can have such a huge impact on the stability of the modern world as we know it...

Diplomacy is the way to go eh........

I'm not going to high light everything you said cause it's too much work for a redneck.

But, you're absolutely living in fantasy land if you think diplomacy is the best course of action.. Could you imagine talking to the japanese after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. That would have done alot of good. I bet your ass wouldn't be speaking English right now!

This was an act of war and an all out attack on our nation. In a situation like this, you have to take action. Although this might be a different type of war, we none the less have to approach it in the same manner. How do you think we became the major power house in the world today. By talking to our aggressors after they attack us. Give me a break!

Now, does that mean we have to blow up every Middle Eastern country? No, and I didn't say that did I! But, any country or government (to be more precise) that has provided aid or sanctuaries to terrorists definitely needs to suffer dire consenquences.

We are not a nation of victims and the one emphatic way to show this, is through retaliation not negotiation.

It's all good if you wanna play the devil's advocate, but expect unfavorable reactions because this is not the time for bleeding heart b.s. Btw, what brought up racism? This is a case of nationalism.

Now if ya don't mind, I think I'll go listen to some Hank Williams JR and clean out my rifle....

That's what's great about posting on the internet, we can all out do each other after post after post...

Let's find who's responsible for this horrible tragedy. After we kill him/them though, we need to solve the middle east thing once and for all... and it's going to take brains and not bombs to do that...

This is probably not going to be a popular opinion, but oh well. Everyone says they want retaliation. Fine. Go bomb some weapons depots, have the SEALS go in and make a few hits. It won't change anything, we'll still be the most hated nation in the world. For every person we kill, I bet 2 zealots sign up to take their place. Am I saying that we should do nothing? No. I'll admit that I have no idea WHATSOEVER how to stop international terrorism. But, how do you get justice for the murder of thousands of Americans and the fear that's now in the hearts of millions? You can't. There's no payback for that imaginable.

bombs and missles are short term solutions

Jared you are right, bombs and missles are short term solutions only... brains, diplomacy and effective foreign policy in the middle east are what's going to make the difference in the long term. Either that or we talk about fighting wars on a long term basis, and that's just lame.

You are a real piece of work.

Thousands upon thousands of people are dead and you want to argue politics concerning why it happened.

You want to blame Bush's foreign policy?

"however, i can't help but feel that this horrible act of terrorism was in some way brought on by president Bush's shitty foreign policy towards Palestine and the Arab nations in general... granted, no amount of s*hitty foreign policy is grounds for the mass murder of tens of thousands of innocent men, women and children... i just feel that this tragedy could have been avoided all together. "

Bush has only been in office for eight months. Islamic fundamentalists, Middle Eastern Nations, and anti-Semitic and anti-US groups have been performing acts of terrorism, and all out war against the US and Isreal since at least 1948.

And you think that any shift in US policy in the last 8 months would have prevented what happened yesterday? Or the bombing of the WTC in 1993? Was that Bush's fault as well?

So is it that you are Anti-Bush or Anti-Republican or just plain Anti-American?

Have you or are you serving in any capacity in the United States Armed forces, Federal, State or local government? Maybe in law enforcement? Have you at any time put your butt on the line in any capacity to ever improve the human condition in this country or any other?

Have you no basic moral decency? To speak the words that you have written here and to point the finger at the President of the United States and to say that what happend was his fault alone? Or even the fault of the government? Or the people?

"... I live in Beijing and I went to see the fights... "

The above is quoted from one of your other posts. I would like you to go out where you live now and criticize that nation's government, their policies, and their leaders? See how far it gets you.

The US has many problems. But there is no other place I would ever want to live. Congress, the political parties, and even the population have all sorts of issues that you may or may not agree with.

One thing is for sure. Because my father laid is ass on the line in Vietnam, and I laid my ass on the line during Desert Storm to protect the civil liberties that each and every individual in this most messed up of countries has, that no other nation on this PLANET enjoys, to guarantee the freedoms that we all treasure, I say the following:

How dare you, in a moment of such tragedy, open up your filthy trap and even allude to the fact that this was brought on by the Americans themselves.

How dare you even remotely suggest that tens of thousands of people DESERVE what they got.

How dare you compare the actions and policies with those of cowards hiding behind a mask of religious servitude who destroy the lives of the young, and the old, the men and the women and foul the name of Allah, God, Jehovah, or whichever name they invoke to sell themselves as righteous.

                              How dare you.

                              You disgust me.

Now is not the time to argure about politics, the simple fact of the matter is we MUST make an example out of what happens to terrorists who dare take on the USA, or it will happen again.

Flyinclockchoke, your diplomacy is a joke the only thing these people will inderstand and respect is force, we have it and its time to use it. They won't be a problem once we kill enough of them, might be a full time job but we are up for it.

Now if I was in charge I would give Afghanistan 24 hours to turn over Bin Laden, otherwise we go in, take him and burn and destroy everything. Also while we are in the neiborhood we should jet Jr redeem his dad and finish the job on Iraq and smoke anyone else known to harbor terrorists. Dust off the nukes if necessary (I am not joking).

BTW on the way home I heard someone on the radio bashing Clinton for cutting the intelligence & military budget saying this was the direct result of Democratic policies, I happen to be for the most part a conservative but I was sickened by this idiot having the nerve to point fingers and play politics at a time like this with thousands of Americans are dead. My heart and prayers goes out to them.

Ok I am done ranting. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
