I don't think so... it's not boxing.
Thai boxers don't use their hands that much, and even if they do they don't have the power in them like boxers do. I think they mostly punch to set up kicks.

Buakaw's brain is fine. He rarely gets hit in the head because he uses a traditional Thai guard.

Some Thai fighters like Super Black Orono and Bovy take crazy shot to the head and show signs of brain damage...but they just fight in that style, taking 5 shots to get one. Buakaw doesn't fight that way, his brain is fine...
