  • MT Question

I live in Katy, Texas (suburb of Houston) and would like to start Muay Thai. I have read some of the previous post regarding age, but is 30 to old to start. I don't expect to compete professionally or anything, I just want to learn the art, get in shape and have some fun. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

30 is not too old at all. You will be able to increase your fitness levels across the board dramatically, and transform yourself into an excellent fighter. Go for it!

Thanks for the encouragement Bri Thai. I don't feel to old to start, until I see everyone on the forum is either quite a bit younger or started MA before they started to walk.

ok well, i think this question has been asked a lil to much...... so there is a rule for the age.....

If u kick thai pads, and ure leg breaks off, then ure too old.

If you train properly -- i.e. proper warmup, workout, cooldown, etc. -- then you should be able to train for the rest of your life. No, I've not been hit on the head too many times!(well, uh, maybe I have--but that's beside the point) I don't mean that you can FIGHT for the rest of your life, but you can TRAIN until your old and gray--IF you take good care of yourself.
